What is microneedling and how does it work?

Your skin repairs them by activating fibroblasts and building new collagen and elastin in the dermis, the structural layer where firmness and texture actually change. The clinical name is collagen induction therapy. We use the Collagen P.I.N., an FDA-cleared device with adjustable depth, so the treatment is matched to different areas of your face.

What does microneedling treat?

It's used for fine lines, early laxity, crepey skin, dullness, uneven texture, enlarged pores, uneven tone, and scarring, including acne scars, surgical scars, and stretch marks. It isn't used over active acne or rosacea flares, and it isn't the right tool for deep expression lines.

How many microneedling sessions will I need?

Most concerns need a series. Plan on at least three sessions for general firmness and texture, and four to six or more for acne scars or deeper texture, spaced about three to six weeks apart. Light maintenance once or twice a year helps hold your results.

What is recovery from microneedling like?

Expect redness like a mild sunburn for a day or two, then a few days of tightness and light flaking, with skin mostly settled by day five to seven. We keep you on a gentle routine and pause active ingredients during that window. The deeper collagen results build over the following weeks.

What is the difference between PDRN, exosomes, and PRX8?

All three customize what we infuse during or alongside microneedling. PDRN is a strong repair signal suited to aging skin and sun damage, with a bit more redness. Exosomes bring a faster, brighter result and less downtime and suit scarring or sensitive skin. PRX8 is a no-needle option for firmness and brightness with essentially no downtime. We choose based on your skin at each visit, and we sometimes rotate them across a series.

Is microneedling good for acne scars?

It can be. For acne scars we first confirm that breakouts are under control and look at the type of scarring. Microneedling, often paired with exosomes, can soften texture and improve skin quality over a series. Question 7

Why can't I wash my face the night of my treatment?

Accepted Answer

Because the PDRN serum should stay on the skin after treatment. Do not wash the day of treatment. Start gentle cleansing the next day as directed.

Question 8

My skin is flaking. Can I help it along?

Accepted Answer

No. Do not pick or peel flaking skin. It disrupts the repair cycle and creates scar risk. Let the skin shed on its own timeline.

Question 9

I added PDRN and I'm redder than I expected. Is something wrong?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily. If PDRN was used, redness can be more pronounced because active cellular repair is happening at the treatment site. Message us if redness is spreading, painful, or outside the pattern we reviewed with you.
